UPDATE: Did Google Collude With Obama Administration to Censor Video?

President Obama’s official Twitter and Facebook accounts – which have a combined audience of 76 million followers – were hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army and used to promote a link to a video which highlights how US-backed rebels are committing terror attacks in Syria.
The account was compromised less than a day after Obama’s presidential campaign website was also hacked by the SEA.
The Syrian Electronic Army confirmed to Infowars that they were behind the hack.
Perhaps to temporarily evade detection, the link to the video was tweeted out next to a non-descript message which read “Immigration is a bipartisan issue.”

On Obama’s Facebook page, the same link was sent out alongside the words, “Watch the weekly address on Obamacare.”
About an hour after the hack, SEA announced that they had also got access to the Obama Campaign’s emails, tweeting out a screenshot of the organization’s Gmail account.
When users click the link, they are redirected to the 24 minute video below which highlights a number of terror attacks and other atrocities committed by US-backed rebels.
The Syrian Electronic Army has been responsible for a number of increasingly high profile hacks this year, including one that targeted the US stock exchange.

Sarah Palin taunts Piers Morgan with picture of bear she shot dead and posted on Facebook

Sarah Palin found a novel way to turn down an interview request from Piers Morgan on Friday, posting a picture on Facebook of a bear she had shot dead and a note saying she was busy.
The former Alaska governor thanked chat show host Morgan for inviting her on his ‘shambolic show’ but added she was ‘kind of busy right now’.
The Facebook message, which had been liked by nearly 3,000 of Palin’s supporters within two hours of it being posted, is part of an online spat between the pair after Morgan poked fun at her intellect.

Earlier in the week the host of Piers Morgan Live tweeted ‘And she’s back’ and linked to a satirical article from the Daily Currant claiming Palin believed Jesus had celebrated Easter.
According to conservative website Breitbart, Morgan was ‘gleefully tweeting out a Currant story attacking Sarah Palin, without noting that the story was untrue’.
Palin linked to the Breitbart article and, in another twist of the knife, added in her Facebook message: ‘And to all our British friends: we ask, what did your friends across the pond ever do to you to deserve your Piers?’

Morgan was quick to respond to the picture, tweeting: ‘Un-bear-able’ before adding: ‘Being called ‘shambolic’ by @SarahPalinUSA is most amusing. I wonder if she can see irony from her house?’
The tweet was in reference to a Saturday Night Live skit of Palin during her vice-presidential campaign in 2008, when comedian Tina Fey, playing the Alaska governor, said: ‘I can see Russia from my house’.
Morgan has added that the invitation for Palin to appear on his show still stood

Authorities probe threat against Cruz
By Alexander Bolton
20th October 2013
Law enforcement officials are investigating a threat against Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who was vaulted into national prominence with his push to defund ObamaCare.
A person identifying himself as Troy Gilmore Jr., posted on Twitter Friday morning: “Take down Ted Cruz, at his home” and listed Cruz’s home address in Houston.
“What goes around comes around CRUZ!!” the person wrote.
The author of the threat uses the Twitter handle @ArmyVet54 and identifies himself as having served in the U.S. Army and Navy.
Sean Rushton, Cruz’s spokesman, said, “We’re aware of it and have alerted the proper authorities.”
“I can’t comment further on security matters,” he said.
At about 5:30 pm on Friday, @ArmyVet54 posted another apparent threat, urging that Cruz “needs tobe [sic] taught a street wise [sic] lesson”.
The person posted Cruz’s home address several other times this month and repeatedly used threatening language.
The apparent threats are not directed at any audience in particular because @ArmyVet54 does not have any Twitter followers. But a search of Cruz’s name on Twitter can find them.
The Capitol Police takes all threats to members of Congress seriously.
“We are looking into that matter,” said Officer Shennell Antrobus, a spokesman for the Capitol Police.
Donte Jamar Sims, a 22-year-old man living in North Carolina, was sentenced to six months in prison in May after he threatened over Twitter to kill President Obama during the 2012 Democratic National Convention.
In June, a judge sentenced Jarvis Britton, a 26-year old Alabama man, to a yearlong prison term after he threatened Obama over Twitter.

OFA To Protest Tea Party At Capitol Rally
October 14, 2013
Following a weekend of protests by truckers, veterans, and patriots of all stripes, a group of leftist sycophants is planning a rebuttal Tuesday.
Organizing for Action, the ostensibly nonprofit group whose sole purpose seems to be campaigning for Barack Obama and his failed policies, is set to rail against conservatives during a noon rally at the Capitol building in Washington, D.C.
To mark the “start of the third week of the government shutdown,” an invitation to OFA supporters encouraged participation in the highly partisan effort.
Detailing exactly who he feels is to blame for the current stalemate, the group’s executive director recently published a Twitter comment in support of the rally.
Jon Carson said those in attendance will be able “to say #EnoughAlready to the #TeaPartyShutdown.”
As we have seen with a number of previous rallies in support of conservative causes, this past weekend’s trucker strike and veterans march were roundly ignored or discounted by the mainstream media. In its analysis of this leftist event, however, one can anticipate much more favorable reportage.
While OFA has attempted to provoke activism such as this in the past, Tuesday’s rally will be the first of its kind at the Capitol. Despite the inclusion of the word “organizing” in its name, though, the group has experienced difficulty in attracting participants to its cause.
Earlier this year, for example, precisely no one showed up for an OFA-sponsored climate change rally in D.C.
Still, the leftist media has a vested interest in propping up this failed presidency. As with the Occupy movement before it, the press can use its power to present a convoluted imbroglio as a principled stand for America. Likewise, when patriots from across the nation converge to address a wildly overreaching federal government, they are painted as lunatics — if they are acknowledged at all.
Luckily, alternative and social media allow people to see what is actually going on at these events, thereby making up their own minds on important issues. In the marketplace of idea, the values embraced by patriotic veterans and other concerned citizens will resonate much more than a few political hacks demanding even more government handouts.

South Carolina House passes bill making ‘Obamacare’ implementation a crime
The Washington Times

The South Carolina state House passed a bill Wednesday that declares President Obama’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to be “null and void,” and criminalizes its implementation.
The state’s Freedom of Health Care Protection Act intends to “prohibit certain individuals from enforcing or attempting to enforce such unconstitutional laws; and to establish criminal penalties and civil liability for violating this article.”
The measure permits the state Attorney General, with reasonable cause, “to restrain by temporary restraining order, temporary injunction, or permanent injunction” any person who is believed to be causing harm to any person or business with the implementation of Obamacare.
Earlier this year in her state of the state address, Gov. Nikki Haley said that South Carolina does not want and cannot afford the president’s plan, “not now, not ever.”
“To that end, we will not pursue the type of government-run health exchanges being forced on us by Washington,” she said. “Despite the rose-colored rhetoric coming out of D.C., these exchanges are nothing more than a way to make the state do the federal government’s bidding in spending massive amounts of taxpayer dollars on insurance subsidies that we can’t afford.”
The nullification bill moved on to the state Senate Thursday and referred to the Committee on Finance. As of Oct. 2, the bill is still residing in the Senate.

Time Magazine reporter who called for a drone strike on Julian Assange faces Twitter backlash
A TIME magazine reporter set off a Twitter spat on Saturday when he controversially suggested that WikkiLeaks founder Julian Assange be killed in a drone strike.
Michael Grunwald was pressured into deleting the offending tweet after it was greeeted with hostility online – particularly by Glenn Greenwald of The Guardian – who broke the story of NSA whistle-blower Edward Norton.
Indeed, TIME magazine distanced themselves from the tweet saying, ‘Michael Grunwald posted an offensive tweet from his personal Twitter account that is no way representative of TME’s views’.
Grunwald has written extensively about his support for the United States strategy of killing terrorists using unmanned military drones.
Writing on Twitter on Friday, Grunwald said he ‘can’t wait to write a defense of the drone strike that takes out’ Assange, who is an Australian citizen.
Julian Assange is currently in hiding at the Ecuadorian embassy in London – as he attempts to ward off his own extradition to Sweden where he is wanted for questioning over allegations of sexual assault.
tweet posted by Blake Hounshell shows the deleted one that Michael Grunwald posted on Friday

Target: Michael Grunwald called for Julian Assange to be targeted in a drone strike and was attacked by Glenn Greenwald – The Guardian journalist who broke the story of NSA whistle-blower Edwards Snowden
Outraged: Others were not so impressed with Grunwalds opinion on drone strikes taking out Julian Assange
Taking to Twitter to express his anger, Greenwald said that ‘Thing like this make you not just understand, but celebrate, the failings of large media outlets.’
Journalist Quinn Norton said that despite Assange’s reputation, he has never demanded anyone’s murder or assassination.
Grunwald deleted his tweet after a follower argued that it would only encourage Assange supporters.
However, the furore continued with a William Patrick Wend incredulously asking Grunwald, ‘Yeah, so you don’t have to be an ‘Assange supporter’ to find calling for extra judicial murder to be sickening.’
Admission: Eventually, Grunwald said that his tweet was wrong and that it was right he apologized
Grunwald then revealed that he was receiving anti-Semitic abuse to his Twitter account but ultimately admitted that his tweet was ‘dumb’ and that he deserved the ‘backlash’.
Assange announced last month that he was attempting to stand as a candidate for the senate in Australia for the WikiLeaks Party.
‘Wikileaks Party is a party of accountability, it’s not a party of government,’ he said.
‘It’s a party to put into the Senate, to make sure whoever is put into the government does their job. It’s an insurance against the election.’
In March, Grunwald said he was perplexed as to why people had become upset at the trageted killing of U.S. citizen Anwar al-Awlaki, by a drone strike because of his association with al Qaeda.
